Our Story
Alexi explored this further with her Masters in Organisational Psychology in which she proved that a high-raw, gluten, dairy and refined-sugar free diet not only significantly enhances work productivity but also supports emotional wellbeing.
What started with humble beginnings in Alexi’s own kitchen, but with ambitious goals, has now grown into a thriving business with multiple retail partners including Wholefoods, Planet Organic, Revital and Selfridges and a collection of products garnering Great Taste and Nourish Awards along the way.
In 2021, Cru8 has evolved to add a sister brand, Keto8, under the umbrella of Sage 8 Foods Ltd, with the launch of new packaging, a new website and new Keto8 products. Where our Brand Names Come From
Cru: the French work for “raw”; raw food espouses the benefits of foods not cooked over 42 degrees. Our raw products are gently dehydrated so as to preserve the enzyme and nutrient content while preserving the food naturally.
Keto: represents the ketogenic diet, a low carb, high fat, moderate protein diet which has proven affective in bio-hacking health.
The number 8: represents infinity and the energy of the food. If you’re into numerology, you’ll also be aware that the 8 represents a master number. Alexi was born in Hong Kong, where the number 8 is revered. So lots of reasons for the number 8!
